Description

A vibrant and fresh Zesty Herb Chimichurri Blend made with parsley, cilantro, oregano, garlic, red pepper flakes, olive oil, lemon juice, and clean vinegar options for a bright sauce that pairs perfectly with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and everyday dishes.


Ingredients

1 cup fresh Italian flat leaf parsley leaves only

¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves only

¼ cup fresh oregano leaves only

⅓ cup chopped red onion or shallots

3 cloves garlic peeled

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup apple cider vinegar or white vinegar

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon kosher salt


Instructions

1. Add parsley, oregano, cilantro, onion, and garlic to a blender or food processor and pulse until finely minced.

2. Add red pepper flakes, olive oil, vinegar, and lemon juice and pulse lightly to combine without overmixing.

3. Season with kosher salt and adjust acidity, heat, or texture as desired.

4. Alternatively mince the herbs and aromatics by hand then whisk with olive oil, vinegar, and lemon juice or shake in a sealed jar before serving.

Notes

Make the sauce ahead and refrigerate for one to three days to enhance flavor.

Cilantro or oregano may be omitted and replaced with additional parsley.

Stir well before serving because olive oil thickens slightly when chilled.

The blend pairs well with grilled beef, chicken, roasted vegetables, grain bowls, and seafood.
