Description

Bright and creamy vanilla lemon overnight oats with citrus zest, smooth yogurt, chia seeds, and protein for a refreshing morning meal.


Ingredients

2 cups old fashioned oats

1 and 1 half cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 half cup plain Greek yogurt from alcohol free brands like Stonyfield Organic Plain Yogurt, Chobani Plain Greek Yogurt, or Fage Plain Greek Yogurt

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 scoop vanilla protein powder like Orgain Vanilla Protein, Vega Sport Vanilla Plant Protein, or Naked Nutrition Vanilla Pea Protein

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of half a lemon

1 tablespoon chia seeds


Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth.

2. Divide the mixture into four jars.

3. Refrigerate overnight.

4. Serve chilled or gently warmed.

Notes

Use fresh lemon zest for the best citrus flavor.

Add a splash of almond milk before serving if the oats become too thick.
