Creamy make ahead Vanilla Blueberry Overnight Oats prepared with alcohol free vanilla flavor and fresh or frozen blueberries for a simple and nutritious breakfast.
Ingredients
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup one percent or nonfat milk
1 half cup alcohol free vanilla yogurt such as Simply Organic Alcohol Free Vanilla Yogurt or Stonyfield Organic Vanilla Yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon alcohol free vanilla flavor such as Alcohol Free Simply Organic Vanilla Flavor or Watkins Clear Vanilla Flavor
1 cup fresh or unsweetened frozen blueberries
Instructions
1. Wash hands with soap and water.
2. Mix oats, milk, yogurt, honey and alcohol free vanilla flavor in a medium bowl.
3. Split the mixture into two bowls or jars.
4. If using fresh blueberries, rinse them under cool water.
5. Add half a cup of blueberries to each serving and stir gently.
6. Cover and refrigerate six to eight hours or overnight.
Notes
Adjust thickness by adding more or less milk.
Add chia seeds or nut butter for more richness.
Top with nuts or granola right before serving for a crunchy finish.
Stir in a splash of milk if the oats become too thick after chilling.
