Description
Creamy Vanilla Apple Overnight Oats made with warm cinnamon apples, rolled oats, almond milk, yogurt, maple syrup, and smooth alcohol free vanilla flavor. A simple make ahead breakfast that is naturally sweet and satisfying.
Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped apple
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Pinch of cinnamon
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2–3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup Chobani Plain Greek Yogurt or Fage Total 2 Percent Plain or So Delicious Coconut Yogurt
2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
1/2 teaspoon Alcohol Free Simply Organic Vanilla Flavor or Watkins Clear Vanilla Flavor
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or apple pie spice
Toppings: cinnamon apples, nut butter, chopped nuts, chia seeds, hemp seeds
Instructions
1. Add chopped apple, maple syrup, and cinnamon to a microwave safe bowl and stir.
2. Microwave for 30–60 seconds until the apples soften.
3. Set aside 1/4 cup of the cooked apples for topping.
4. Add oats, almond milk, yogurt, sweetener, alcohol free vanilla, and cinnamon into a jar.
5. Add 1/4 cup of the cooked apples to the oat mixture.
6. Stir, then secure the lid and shake to combine.
7. Refrigerate overnight or at least 30–60 minutes.
8. Stir in the morning and add more milk if needed.
9. Top with remaining apples and your favorite toppings.
Notes
Rolled oats provide the best texture while quick oats become mushy.
Add extra almond milk if the oats thicken too much as they chill.
For more protein, stir in vanilla protein powder and adjust liquid.
This recipe can be made dairy free by using plant based yogurt.
The apple topping can be reheated for a warm contrast when serving.
