Description

Soft and lightly sweet Protein Donut Holes made with vanilla protein, yogurt, and apple puree for a quick and energizing snack.


Ingredients

1 cup buckwheat flour or oat flour

2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder such as Orgain Vanilla Protein or Naked Whey Vanilla

3 tablespoons sugar

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt such as FAGE Total or Chobani Plain

1/2 cup apple puree

Olive oil

Cinnamon sugar for coating

Alcohol free vanilla flavor such as Alcohol Free Simply Organic or Watkins Clear Vanilla Flavor


Instructions

1. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.

2. Add yogurt, apple puree, and vanilla flavor. Mix into a sticky dough.

3. Roll dough into small balls with lightly oiled hands.

4. Brush each ball with a thin layer of olive oil.

5. Air fry for 10 minutes, then air fry 3 minutes more.

6. Or bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.

7. Roll warm donut holes in cinnamon sugar.

Notes

Add one tablespoon yogurt for a softer texture.

Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized donut holes.

Best served warm for a soft interior and sweet coating.

Store at room temperature for two days or refrigerate for up to four days.
