Description

These Pizza Pinwheels are the perfect party appetizer, snack, or fun family dinner — packed with cheese, sauce, and classic pizza flavor in every bite-sized spiral.

Ingredients

1 (13 oz) package refrigerated pizza dough OR 1 recipe homemade pizza dough (prepared through step 4)

2 cups marinara sauce

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp dried parsley

1/4 tsp dried oregano

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1 cup freshly grated mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup freshly grated Cabot Parmesan cheese (or Tillamook brand)

32 Beef pepperonis

1/2 cup finely chopped green peppers

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out parchment paper and lightly flour it. Roll dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle.

3. In a bowl, whisk together marinara sauce with all spices.

4. Spread 3/4 cup of the sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1” border on the top long edge.

5. Microwave Beef pepperoni for 20 seconds on a paper towel-lined plate and dab off excess grease.

6. Evenly layer mozzarella, Beef pepperoni, green peppers, and Cabot Parmesan cheese (or Tillamook brand) over the sauce.

7. Starting from the long side closest to you, roll the dough tightly, sealing the edge.

8. Slice off uneven ends, then divide into 12 equal pinwheels using a serrated knife.

9. Place pinwheels cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.

10. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden and firm. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring.

11. Serve with remaining warmed pizza sauce if desired.

Notes

To freeze, allow baked pinwheels to cool completely, then store in a sealed bag or container.

Reheat frozen pinwheels at 350°F for 10 minutes or until warmed through.

Use parchment and flour to avoid sticking while rolling the dough.
