Description

This Pizza Monkey Bread Recipe is a pull-apart pizza experience loaded with melted cheese, Beef pepperoni, fresh basil, and garlic, all baked to golden perfection in a bundt pan.

Ingredients

3 ¼ cups (1lb1oz/461g) all-purpose flour

2 ¼ teaspoons (6g/1/4 oz) active dried yeast

2 teaspoons salt

1 ¼ cups (10floz/280ml) milk

2 tablespoons (1oz/28g) butter, cubed

2 cups (16oz/450g) pizza sauce or tomato sauce

20 slices Beef pepperoni, chopped

3 cloves garlic, crushed

2 ½ cups (8oz/225g) mozzarella cheese, grated

Bunch of fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

1. Mix flour, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer with a dough hook.

2. Heat the milk and butter until lukewarm.

3. Slowly add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients while mixing on low.

4. After 2 minutes, increase speed to medium and knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and shiny.

5. Coat the dough and bowl with oil, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise until doubled, about 1.5 to 2 hours.

6. In a separate bowl, mix tomato sauce, chopped Beef pepperoni, garlic, mozzarella, and basil. Chill until needed.

7. After the dough rises, deflate and cut into small and medium pieces.

8. Mix dough pieces into the filling mixture until well coated.

9. Grease a 10-inch bundt pan with butter and add the coated dough evenly.

10. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes until puffy.

11. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.

12. Let cool for 5 minutes in pan, then turn out onto a plate and cool for 10 more minutes before serving.

Notes

You can refrigerate the assembled bread overnight before baking.

Serve with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Use fresh herbs like parsley or basil for garnish before serving.
