A layered pizza creation with fluffy homemade crust, rich sauce, gooey mozzarella, and delicious toppings stacked like a cake.
Ingredients
For The Pizza Dough:
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
¼ oz pizza yeast
1½ teaspoons white sugar
¾ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup warm water
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
For the Filling/Topping:
1-2 cups pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
8 oz Beef pepperoni (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until combined.
2. Gradually add remaining flour until dough forms. Knead on a floured surface with greased hands for 4-6 minutes.
3. Divide dough into 5 equal portions. Use one portion to line the sides of a springform pan. Roll out the remaining portions and cut four 5-inch rounds.
4. Pre-bake the dough rounds for about 15 minutes.
5. Place one dough round at the bottom of the pan. Top with sauce, cheese, and Beef pepperoni if using. Repeat with remaining layers, ending with sauce and cheese.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
When measuring flour, spoon it into the cup and level it for accuracy.
Use pizza yeast for best results and be sure your water is around 110°F.
If the edges brown too quickly during baking, cover them with foil.
