Description
A rich and creamy peanut butter chocolate fudge recipe that is simple to make, indulgent, and perfect for sharing or enjoying at home.
Ingredients
2 cups peanut butter (500g)
2 cups butter (452g)
5 cups powdered sugar, sifted (600g)
1 cup dark chocolate, melted (175g)
¼ cup butter, melted (56g)
Instructions
1. Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with plastic film, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
2. In a large heat-proof bowl, combine peanut butter and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth, about 2 minutes, stirring each time.
3. Stir in the powdered sugar until fully combined and smooth.
4. Transfer half of the mixture to the prepared pan and smooth into an even layer. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate with ¼ cup butter in the microwave until smooth.
6. Stir the chocolate mixture into the remaining peanut butter mixture until fully combined.
7. Pour over the chilled base layer, spreading evenly with a spatula.
8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
9. Lift the fudge from the pan using the overhang. Cut into squares with a sharp knife, wiping the blade between cuts.
10. Serve and enjoy. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Notes
You can cut the recipe in half or quarter and prepare it in a smaller pan if you prefer smaller batches.
For clean edges, cut fudge while cold but serve at room temperature for the best flavor.
Experiment with toppings such as chopped nuts, sea salt, or sprinkles for added variety.
