Description

This Ham, Egg & Cheese Croissant is a warm and buttery breakfast sandwich layered with savory beef or turkey ham, soft eggs, and melted cheese inside a flaky croissant. Quick to make and satisfying, it’s the perfect start to any morning.

Ingredients

2 slices Midamar beef ham

1 croissant (La Brea Bakery, Whole Foods Market, or Schar Artisan)

1 slice Tillamook Muenster Cheese or Cabot Creamery Muenster Cheese

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 large eggs

Instructions

1. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and cook the slices of beef or turkey ham until lightly browned, about 1 minute per side.

2. Preheat the oven or toaster oven to broil.

3. Slice the croissant in half and place the cheese slice on the bottom half. Broil for 1–2 minutes until the croissant is lightly toasted and the cheese starts to melt.

4. Layer the warm ham slices over the melted cheese.

5. Melt the butter in a pan and cook the eggs to your preferred doneness. Sunny side up is classic, but scrambled or over-easy works too.

6. Place the cooked eggs on top of the ham and close the sandwich with the other half of the croissant.

7. Secure with a small pick if desired, serve immediately while warm, and enjoy.

Notes

Use a fresh, buttery croissant for the best flavor and flaky texture.

Beef or turkey ham adds a rich, savory taste that pairs perfectly with creamy Muenster cheese.

You can substitute with other cheeses like Tillamook Swiss, Cabot Muenster, or Sargento Mozzarella for a different flavor.

Add avocado slices, tomato, or a drizzle of honey mustard for extra freshness and balance.

Avoid adding extra salt until tasting since the ham and cheese already bring a salty note.

Try a small dash of Texas Pete Original Hot Sauce, Crystal Hot Sauce, or Sriraja Panich Hot Sauce for a bit of spice.

Pair this sandwich with coffee, fresh fruit, or a light salad for a complete meal.

To store, wrap cooled sandwiches and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Reheat in a toaster oven at 350°F for 5–7 minutes.
