Description

Garlic butter mushrooms are a quick, savory, and irresistible side dish. Caramelized to golden perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce and finished with fresh parsley, they’re ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

1 pound Cremini or Baby Bella mushrooms (quartered)

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 large garlic cloves (minced)

Chopped fresh Italian parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, toss mushrooms with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, then add the butter.

3. Once butter is melted and begins to foam, stir in the minced garlic.

4. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn.

5. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with garlic butter.

6. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes to allow even caramelization.

7. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a large skillet to avoid overcrowding and ensure even browning.

Don’t wash mushrooms under water; wipe clean with a damp cloth to avoid sogginess.

To make it dairy-free, substitute butter with plant-based butter or more olive oil.
