Description

A rich and easy shrimp scampi sauce made with butter, garlic, lemon, broth, parsley, and a touch of hot sauce. This flavorful sauce coats shrimp, fish, or chicken beautifully and pairs well with pasta, rice, or vegetables. Quick to prepare and filled with bright citrus notes and savory depth.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons salted butter

5 cloves garlic minced

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Small dash of Crystal Hot Sauce or Texas Pete Original Hot Sauce or Sriraja Panich Hot Sauce

Salt to taste

1/4 cup chopped parsley

2 pounds cooked shrimp or cooked chicken breast

Splash of vegetable broth or chicken broth

Optional grated Cabot Parmesan or Tillamook cheese

Instructions

1. Melt the salted butter in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth.

2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook gently until fragrant.

3. Add lemon juice a splash of broth hot sauce and salt then warm through.

4. Stir in the chopped parsley until blended.

5. Toss the cooked shrimp or chicken in the sauce until coated.

6. Serve over hot rice pasta or vegetable noodles.

7. For extra richness finish with grated Cabot or Tillamook cheese.

8. For optional creaminess add a small amount of heavy cream before tossing with the protein.

Notes

Keep the heat at medium to avoid burning the garlic or causing the sauce to separate.

Broth adds depth and balances the lemon without overpowering the flavor.

Use freshly minced garlic for the best aroma.

Grilled shrimp or chicken adds a smoky variation.

The sauce can also be used on fish or vegetables for a lighter meal.
