Description
A simple and flavorful Easy Perfect Basic Burger for Any Night made with ground beef, egg, seasonings, and clean ingredient bread crumbs. The patties cook up juicy, tender, and ideal for quick meals any day of the week.
Ingredients
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs such as 4C Plain Bread Crumbs, Good and Gather Plain Bread Crumbs, or Edward and Sons Bread Crumbs
Instructions
Preheat the grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate.
Whisk the egg with salt and black pepper in a medium bowl until blended.
Add the ground beef and the alcohol free bread crumbs and gently mix by hand or with a fork until the mixture is evenly combined.
Shape the mixture into four patties about three quarters of an inch thick and smooth the edges to prevent cracking.
Place the patties onto the hot grill and close the lid so they sear and cook evenly.
Cook the patties for six to eight minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of at least one hundred sixty degrees Fahrenheit.
Transfer the patties to a plate and let them rest briefly before serving.
Serve on alcohol free buns such as Rudi’s Organic Hamburger Buns, Angelic Bakehouse Whole Grain Buns, or Simple Kneads Artisan Buns along with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Choose ground beef with enough natural fat content for a juicy burger.
Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to maintain a tender texture.
If adding cheese, select vegetarian rennet options such as Cabot Cheddar, Tillamook Cheddar, or Sargento Provolone.
For hot sauces, suitable options include Texas Pete Original Hot Sauce, Crystal Hot Sauce, or Sriraja Panich Hot Sauce.
Refrigerate shaped patties for a short time before grilling to help them hold their form.
Store uncooked patties in the refrigerator for up to two days or freeze for longer storage.
Cooked patties can be kept in a sealed container for up to three days and reheated gently in a skillet, oven, or microwave.
