Description
Make the perfect Dominos pizza recipe at home with chewy crust, zesty sauce, and a melty cheese blend. This copycat version delivers that familiar flavor using simple pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
1 1/3 cup water (room temperature at 80°F)
1 tsp dry active yeast
3 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
4 Tbsp soybean oil
3 Tbsp dry milk
1/4 tsp baking powder
4 cups bread flour
1 cup tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup provolone cheese
1 cup cornmeal
Garlic butter (for brushing)
Italian seasoning, fennel seed, parmesan (optional toppings)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine water, yeast, sugar, salt, and soybean oil. Stir to dissolve the yeast.
2. Add dry milk, baking powder, and bread flour. Mix until a dough forms.
3. Knead for 7 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky.
4. Divide dough into 3 equal 12 oz balls. Place in a greased tray, oil the tops, and cover.
5. Refrigerate for 1–4 days to ferment slowly.
6. Dredge each dough ball in cornmeal and stretch into a 12-inch circle.
7. Transfer to a greased pizza pan with holes.
8. Spread 1 cup of tomato sauce over the top, leaving a 1-inch crust border.
9. Top with cheese and your favorite toppings.
10. Bake at 500°F on the bottom oven rack for 10–12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
11. Brush crust with garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
12. Let cool slightly, then slice and serve.
Notes
Dough can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for later use.
For extra flavor, season the crust with garlic salt, Italian herbs, or parmesan.
Use a robust, sweet tomato sauce for a flavor similar to Domino’s.
Use part-skim mozzarella and provolone for an authentic cheese pull.
Reheat slices in a skillet or air fryer for best texture.
