Ingredients
1 tube refrigerated biscuits (Pillsbury Grands! or Immaculate Baking)
1 (5 oz.) package Chicken Sausage Links, chopped (Applegate Naturals or Aidells)
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cups milk
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven according to the biscuit package directions.
2. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown and fluffy.
3. While biscuits bake, heat a skillet over medium heat and add chopped chicken sausage and butter. Cook until sausage is lightly browned.
4. Sprinkle the flour evenly over the sausage and stir until it forms a smooth base.
5. Gradually pour in the heavy cream and milk, whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste and continue cooking for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
7. Remove from heat and let rest for 2–3 minutes.
8. Split warm biscuits in half, spoon creamy sausage gravy over the top, and serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality chicken sausage for best flavor, such as Applegate Naturals or Aidells.
Avoid overcooking the gravy to keep it smooth and creamy.
Add optional seasonings like garlic powder or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
