Description
A creamy, crunchy and comforting Chicken & Green Bean Almond Casserole made with tender chicken, green beans, and a nutty almond topping. Perfect for a quick family dinner.
Ingredients
1 bag (12 oz) frozen cut green beans
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
2 cans (5 oz each) chunk chicken, drained
1/2 cup milk
1 bag (6 oz) chow mein noodles
Sliced almonds, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Cook green beans as directed on package and drain well.
3. In a 2-quart casserole or 8-inch square baking dish, mix soup, chicken, and milk until smooth.
4. Stir in cooked green beans until evenly combined.
5. Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, until hot and bubbling in the center.
6. Serve over chow mein noodles and top with sliced almonds.
Notes
You can substitute rotisserie chicken for canned chicken for a richer flavor.
To add extra crunch, toast the almonds lightly before garnishing.
This dish pairs well with a fresh salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
