Description
A bold and flavorful pizza topped with Calabrian chili paste, sweet roasted red peppers, and finished with a drizzle of honey. This spicy-sweet combo is balanced by gooey cheese and a nutty sesame-seed crust.
Ingredients
⅓–½ lb ball of pizza dough
Sesame seeds, for sprinkling
⅓ cup marinara sauce
2 tbsp crushed Calabrian chili paste
1 jar roasted red peppers, drained and sliced
2 tsp fish sauce (optional)
¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup shredded provolone cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
Honey, for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch the dough into a 10–12 inch circle. Transfer to a baking sheet.
3. Brush the crust with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds around the edges.
4. Spread marinara sauce evenly across the dough.
5. Layer Calabrian chili paste over the sauce.
6. Top with sliced roasted red peppers.
7. Drizzle fish sauce over the top (if using).
8. Sprinkle dried oregano across the pizza.
9. Add mozzarella and provolone evenly across the top.
10. Bake for 10–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
11. Remove from oven, sprinkle with more oregano, and drizzle with honey.
12. Let rest 2–3 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
You can reduce the Calabrian chili paste if you prefer less heat.
Use soy sauce as a vegetarian substitute for fish sauce.
Drain roasted red peppers well to avoid a soggy crust.
Best served hot, but leftovers can be reheated in a skillet for a crispy crust.
