Description
A creamy and satisfying Avocado Breakfast Sandwich made with eggs, melted cheese, and fresh avocado slices layered between golden toasted bread. Perfect for a quick and wholesome breakfast.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 large eggs
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 slices of sandwich bread (Nature’s Own Perfectly Crafted Thick Sliced Multigrain Bread)
1 ounce Tillamook Swiss Cheese or Cabot Creamery Swiss Cheese
1 ounce Tillamook Cheddar Cheese or Sargento Sharp Cheddar Cheese
½ ripe avocado, sliced
Optional: Texas Pete® Original Hot Sauce, Crystal® Hot Sauce, or Sriraja Panich Hot Sauce
Instructions
1. Gather all the ingredients.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Crack eggs into skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Flip each egg gently and cook until desired doneness, about 2 to 5 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the bread slices butter-side down.
6. Layer Swiss cheese, one fried egg, Cheddar cheese, the second fried egg, avocado slices, and top with the remaining bread slice, butter-side up.
7. Grill until the bottom side is golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
8. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese melts completely.
9. Remove from the skillet, let it rest for one minute, and slice in half.
10. Serve warm with your choice of hot sauce or a side of fresh fruit.
Notes
Use ripe avocados for a creamy texture.
Toast the bread slightly before assembling for a crispier sandwich.
For extra flavor, sprinkle smoked paprika or garlic powder on the eggs.
Replace butter with olive oil or coconut oil for a lighter version.
Add spinach or arugula for added nutrition.
