Description
Simple crisp apple chips made in the air fryer with thin sliced apples and optional cinnamon. They make an easy snack with natural sweetness and a light crunchy texture.
Ingredients
1 apple
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the apple completely.
2. Slice the apple into thin slices about one eighth of an inch thick using a mandolin or sharp knife.
3. Sprinkle cinnamon on the slices if desired.
4. Place the slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
5. Set the air fryer to 380 degrees F and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
6. Flip the slices at the 5 minute mark.
7. Let them rest for at least 5 minutes so they crisp. Resting 15 to 30 minutes creates even better texture.
Notes
For a sweeter version, mix a small amount of sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle it over the slices before air frying.
If the chips soften after storing, return them to the air fryer for 1 to 2 minutes to crisp again.
